Format
Being a formal, parliamentary tradition, debate is a very structured series of speeches. On this page, I have posted some important tips on debating and some rules and some style guides etc.. All of them have been posted both in the form of a downloadable document and in the form of a word block (a post). If there is something about any of these sheets that you do not understand, feel free to post on the blog page. Have fun!
General Order of a Debate in CNDF
In CNDF debate, there is no allocated time for cross-examination. If you have a question, you must give a POI (this is where you stand up during someones speech and you wait for them to choose you. THEY DO NOT HAVE TO CHOOSE YOU! If they do choose you, then you ask your question, if not, then you can save your question for rebuttal time during your own speech.) Use the answers the speakers give to your POIs in your rebuttal during your speech.
