Hey guys! It's been a wonky past two weeks of odd schedule changes and practice times. I want to thank all of you guys who kept up and attended! You are the ones who make all these practices worthwhile!
Anyways, after the INCREDIBLE success of the debaters at Regionals and all the fun, we have a lot to talk about!
Tomorrow, I'd like to talk about how the debaters did at Regionals and give some feedback to the Regionals attendees in front of you all! This way, you guys can learn from other peoples' mistakes and all improve your debating skills collectively! We can go over how to improve those mistakes and all become better debaters!
Moreover, now that the debating season is over for the most part, I'd like to discuss a plan of action for the future with you guys. I want to see what you think of my teaching so far, what I could improve on and what you want to improve on. This way, I can alter the rest of the practice schedules so that they accord with what the majority would like to do.
Obviously, I have an idea of what I'd like to teach you guys in the future, but now that you guys have shown significant improvement and success, I think it's time for me to "loosen the reigns" and give you more freedom in what you want to study - it is your debate club, after all! So if a lot of you want to have a tournament, we can do that! If a bunch want to study structure in greater detail, we can do that! If all of you want to eat pizza every day, we cannot really do that, but I'll do my best! :)
Definitely a visionary practice! Let's see where we want to be soon and let's make a plan of action to get there ASAP!
I can't wait to see you all!
